Snow Flower and the Secret Fan 
This book is a page turner from the start. Lisa See writes a story of the beauty and wonder of the friendship between two women during oppressive times for women in China. She educates the reader about Chinese tradition and culture by telling a story like no other I have read. She has a true gift of story telling.

A very good book; helped me to get some knowledge about nu shui,a language I knew nothing about. I am looking forward to exploring more by Lisa See.
beautiful, poignant and well written
I loved this book from start to finish. Lisa See knows how to bring her readers into the world of her characters from page one; I was lost in this story from the get-go. I will buy more of her books!
